1969 Chevy Camaro History
The 1969 Camaro's structure and mechanical elements were actually unchanged from
the '68 model. New features are but embraced in this year's model consist of new
fenders, door skins, rear quarter-panels, grille and taillights provide a wider
and lower appearance to the car. Also, the redesigned dash and more comfortable
seats gave more life to its interior. Two engines were available.

The COPO 9561 was a basic Camaro sport coupe stuffed with a new low performance
200-horsepower 307. Even rarer was the COPO 9560 that featured the legendary all-aluminum
ZL-1 427 at 425 horsepower. 1969 Camaro models gained a profitable sale that lasted
up to the winter of 1969 and early 1970. Top-performing as all Camaros were, the
staggering array of available produced performance equipment marked the year 1969
as the greatest Camaro model.
